Real Estate Photography – FAQ

 

1. Do you help stage or prepare homes for photos?

No. For general liability and scheduling efficiency, homes must be fully prepared prior to my arrival. This includes cleaning, staging, and ensuring the property is photo-ready before the scheduled shoot.

2. How far in advance should I book?

Advance notice is appreciated, but not always required. Feel free to reach out even on short notice—I will do my best to accommodate timely requests whenever possible.

3. What areas do you serve?

I primarily serve the Sioux Falls, South Dakota area. I am available for surrounding areas as well, but standard mileage and travel fees will apply outside the general Sioux Falls region.

4. Do you include drone photography?

Yes. I provide professional exterior drone photography for applicable listings. I am FAA Part 107 certified by the Federal Aviation Administration, ensuring all aerial work is conducted legally and professionally.

5. How should I prepare my home for a photoshoot?

To achieve the best results:

• Turn on all available interior and exterior lights

• Open all blinds and shades

• Ensure the home is thoroughly cleaned (if it’s visible, it will be in the photos)

• Put away personal items and clutter

 

6. How many photos will I receive?

You can typically expect between 30–50 professionally edited images depending on the size of the home and total finished square footage.

7. Do I need to be present during the shoot?

No, you do not need to be present. However, you are welcome to be there if you prefer. Please ensure I have access via a garage code, unlocked door, or lockbox, and that any pets are safely secured.

 

8. How will I receive my photos?

Final images will be delivered via an online download link for easy access and sharing.

9. What is your turnaround time?

My typical turnaround time is 24–48 hours after the photoshoot is completed.

 

10. What are your rates?

• Homes under 2,500 sq ft: $175 + sales tax

• Homes between 2,500 sq ft and 3,500 sq ft: $225 + sales tax

• Homes over 3,500 sq ft: $275 + sales tax

 

11. What is your copyright and usage policy?

I retain exclusive ownership rights to all original images created, including the legal rights to reproduce, distribute, display, and create derivative works. Images are provided exclusively to the client for listing and marketing purposes and may not be sold, redistributed, or used by third parties without my express written consent.
